Crochiah is a love letter to a 150-year-old craft from the Godavari delta — the patient, precise art of hand-crochet, passed mother to daughter.

1880s — It begins with the missionaries.

Irish nuns who came to coastal Andhra Pradesh taught crochet to local women. Generations passed it on, hook to hook.

Today — GI-tagged, globally loved.

Narsapuram crochet has a Geographical Indication tag. Featured in PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat (Dec 2025).
