Before you commit

You see the work before you pay for most of it.

Placing a large order with a maker you have not used before is a risk. This is how the order is staged so that it is a small one.

A sample in your hands

Couriered to you before anything goes into production. If it is not right, we make it again or you walk away — nothing has been produced and nothing is owed.

Then

Half the payment, not all

Fifty per cent starts production. The balance is due only before despatch, once the batch exists.

During

Photographs at the halfway mark

From the workshop, of your batch, so the first time you see the order is not the day it arrives.

After

A tracking sheet back

For split despatch to home addresses, you get the list back with tracking against every name.

The craft

Narsapuram, in the Godavari delta

Crochet lace arrived on this stretch of the Andhra coast well over a century ago and never left. It is worked at home, between other work, mostly by women, in fine cotton thread on a small steel hook — and it carries a Geographical Indication tag, the same protection given to Kanchipuram silk and Darjeeling tea.

When your order goes out, the work is distributed across artisan groups here. The women are paid per piece at rates agreed before the batch starts, and the money reaches households in a district where very little formal work is available to them. That is the whole of the impact story — no rounded number, no rescue narrative. Simply paid work, in a craft worth keeping alive.

Before you write to us

What is the minimum order?

Fifty pieces for most hampers. For a small, very intricate piece we can sometimes start at twenty-five — ask us.

What does it cost?

It depends on the piece, the quantity and the packaging, so there is no list price we could quote honestly. Tell us your headcount and roughly what you want to spend a head, and we will send two or three builds that fit — usually the same working day.

Is any of it food?

No. Everything we make is cotton, wood and brass, so there is no allergy list to cross-check, no vegetarian or Jain question, and nothing that expires. The potli can be filled with dry fruit if you want that — but it ships empty unless you ask.

How do we know you can deliver on time at this scale?

Ask for the sample first. It costs you about a week and nothing else, and production does not begin until you have approved it. From there the order is staged — half to start, photographs from the workshop at the halfway mark, and the balance only when the batch is ready to despatch. You are never far ahead of what you can see.

What if the sample is not right?

We remake it, or you walk away. At that stage nothing is in production and nothing is owed.

Can you match our brand colours exactly?

Close, but not exactly. Cotton yarn is dyed in batches and shades vary slightly, which is part of how a handmade piece looks. We send a physical yarn sample against your swatch and only proceed once you approve it.

How is our logo applied?

Laser-engraved on wooden buttons, charms and drawstring tags, or printed on the insert card and box sleeve. We do not print on the crochet itself — it sits badly on openwork fabric and wears off.

Can you deliver to employees' home addresses?

Yes. Share a spreadsheet of names and addresses and we despatch individually across India, with a tracking sheet returned to you.

How does payment work?

Fifty per cent to start production and the balance before despatch, by bank transfer, with a GST invoice. Cash on delivery is not available on made-to-order work.
